Athletes, I am compiling a box of workout clothes in the changing room for people who forget. If you have some old workout clothes that you don’t need, can you please bring them in? If you can clean them first, that would be awesome.
And, back by popular demand: MDSoF Ladies Night! Thursday, March 6th at Milagro’s in RWC. Please ask Susan or Jules if you didn’t receive an e-vite. We want you there, ladies!
One final component to training is that you have to own the movements, i.e. you have to do them the same way, almost every single time. The adaptation is based on the stimulus, if the the stimulus is different every time you squat, it is going to be hard to train because the adaptation is slightly different every time you squat.
Re-posting this so that more people will see it hopefully. Susan and I talk alot about how to help people change/improve their health and fitness. There is one thing that we routinely come back to which is, if you are hurt, it makes it really hard to train. This may sound foolishly simple but people often don’t get this very basic concept. Taking time to build up a foundation of strength and solid movement skills to prevent injury is the most important thing you can do to make health and fitness improvements. A huge thanks to Maryann M who gets what we do at MDSoF.

We’re collecting Toys for Tots at the gym. Bring a new, unwrapped toy / gift before December 18th to participate. Last year we filled two cans with toys. We hope to do the same again. Please consider participating!
